The Process:

After conducting an audit of existing marketing efforts, Claire works with key stakeholders to review goals, define target audiences, assess the market and create a unique value proposition.  She then creates a marketing plan with detailed strategies to help clients achieve their goals and realize their missions.  Each plan includes a review of website usability and SEO, content strategy, and all communications efforts, including social media outreach and print materials, to ensure that all contribute to current goals, are consistent with the brand and resonate with the target audience.

Claire's combined experience in journalism and PR gives her a rare understanding of the needs of both her client and the editor, making her especially adept at media relations. Her pitching skills and instincts for newsworthy topics have resulted in an exceptionally high placement rate and she has developed close relationships with influential media professionals along the way. Claire also provides training to nonprofit executives and staff members, teaching them how to craft a successful pitch and work with the media to raise awareness and tell their organizations' stories.
